Truly a hidden gem found in an unsuspecting area. The food here was delicious; their meats, incredibly juicy and flavorful. The group deals are definitely worth the value for what you get, so bringing a crowd is recommended. Favorite dishes: Kabob koobideh, sheeshlik (lamb chops)
Ehsanis Hot Kabob If you like Kabob, this one is for you!!! Hands down, exceptionally the best koobideh in the area. The presentation of the food is fit for royalty. They have lamb, beef, and chicken options. The meat is juicy and melts in your mouth. The whole experience in the restaurant is amazing! It is on the pricey end, but the food is fantastic and worth the $$$ For the sweet tooth, the saffron ice cream is @ehsanis.hotkabob #iranifood #turkishfood #stlhalalfoodie #stlhalalfood #stlrestaurants #arabfood #halalfood #halalmeat #kabobkingstl #koobidehkabob https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDxFb7MOnFN/?igsh=aWdqYjBtMGxsODhv
What a gem! Delicious food beautifully presented. The owner was very nice and friendly. He gave good recommendations as we were unable to make decisions since everything look so good. Street parking only.
We were a group of four and ordered the 3-person combo plus the grilled chicken wings which was more than enough food. The service was excellent and the owner took our order personally. The food was excellent, hot flavorful and absolutely worth the price. Soft drinks and bottled water were included in the price. I look forward to dining again at Ehsani's.
Food was interesting and flavorful. Very enjoyable. Service was good and our waiter even provided live guitar and singing! I enjoyed the hardwood doors and marble & granite pieces bar. Will be returning.
Perfect spot for comfort food! Everything came out fresh and hot. The server recommended the 2-person combo, and I added a side of lamb chops--such a great choice. The meat was well-marinated, and the portions were generous. The combo also came with pickled veggies and a salad, which tied everything together perfectly. I visited during a quieter time, so the vibe was super relaxed, and the server made sure we were well taken care of. Definitely solid!
The koobideh kabob (included in the soltani kabob combo) was fantastic. It literally melts in your mouth. Both kabobs are on skewers when they arrive at your table and are pulled of the skewer by gloved hands. They are piping hot upon tableside delivery! The masto khiar is so cool and refreshing and well seasoned. I highly recommend both dishes. The gentleman at the bar when we came in was super friendly and adored children. He was enamored with our 6 month old and grabbed his guitar to play her some songs. It was so sweet. You can tell the people that own this business are super nice and their food is fire as hell to boot. It is a toss up between this place and Royal Kebab for who has the best kabobs in the city, but they both blow Majeed out of the water. I, for one, will be supporting this area business quite often. I suggest you do too!
The 5-person combo was fantastic!! I came with my family and a few friends and it was perfect for sharing. The eggplant appetizer was also really good. The only thing we were disappointed by was the ice cream (more of a personal preference). The service was good and food came out quickly. It's a family owned establishment!
The beautiful German/Bavarian wall script and masonry of the brickwork inside the building only is worth the trip to this place . Now on to the food: they serve halal Iranian and Turkish dishes. Mainly lamb, beef and chicken kabobs. What sets them apart from other places is they use fresh meat and spices vs pre packaged kabobs. The food may be kind of pricey to some. However, the portions you get as well as the taste are well worth the price you pay. Definitely checked them out!
We went here for lunch and we ordered the two people combo since it is just the two of us, my boyfriend and I. The food is good. I like the beef. I wish the rice would have more flavors or spices. The service is not what I expected. Having someone one or two years older than my kids asking me what I want to eat is different to say the least. Therefore as expected, no checking to see if you like the food or needed anything else. Which was fine, because I do not expect my kids at their age to know to do that. My boyfriend still gave 37% tip because they are just kids.
